Quebec Caribou Hunting

Going to the great north or the Canadian wilderness for a Quebec Caribou hunting trip can be invigorating, exciting, and rewarding. There are many places in Quebec that cater to this therefore, lets take a look at some of them and what they have to offer to that hunter that wants to bring home that trophy stag.

Labrador is a primary location for Caribou hunting and is home to the George River Herd. This seven hundred and fifty thousand animal herd offers a hunter a great opportunity to tag that elusive kill.

The hunting lodges and camps offered are seven days long and the price includes this lodging, as well as a professional guide. The hunter needs to only bring his self, their hunting clothing, and their weapon. There are minimums when the weapon is concerned. This is at least a two hundred forty three caliber. A bow has a minimum also. This is at least a forty five pound draw.

In order to get that wonderful trophy buck that every hunter dreams of will not be easy. Of course, getting a typical Caribou is quite easy though. It is the elusive large trophy stag that will require patience and skill. These stags are smart therefore, they continue to grow and get larger each and every year. They almost never stay still and when they move, it would be a difficult time for a hunter to track as well as keep up with them. These are the ones that a true hunter wants to take home and place on their walls. Therefore, spotting is crucial to these types of hunters.

Many American hunters are taking advantage of the opportunities that Canadian and especially Quebec Caribou hunting has to offer. These hunters who take these trips share their stories of the great hunt that they had undertaken and many of their friends are wanting to experience this also. Therefore, there is a current surge that is going on. However, these types of hunting trips fill up very quick, so book your trip early to ensure your spot in the hunting party.

There is a two bag limit and a hunter could very well come back home with two trophies to brag about. These hunting camps also offer Black Bear hunts as well as fishing trips that can reward an avid outdoors person as well. The Black Bear hunts are typically included in the Caribou hunt packages and are taken advantage of quite regularly by many hunters on these trips.

So, if you are an avid hunter that desires just a bit more or a larger game, try one of the Quebec Caribou hunting trips. This may satisfy that urge and put it to rest forever.
